Ahh Another Saturday and we left Texas for Oklahoma. The drive in was uneventful except for the wind. The wind started shortly after crossing into Oklahoma but the trailer handled it much better then our other trailer which was nice.
We got into our stop for the night which was a harvest host winery. Harvest host is a program where you join up and you can stay overnight at wineries, breweries and associated places for free. If you click the link below you’ll get 15% off your membership and I’ll make a small commission on your purchase.
Our host for the evening was the Coal Creek Winery in Tuttle OK. When we arrived we checked in and were directed where to park. We were also informed that they were showing a movie that night which was Hocus Pocus and were having a food truck.
We got setup and went in for a wine tasting and purchased a bottle of mead, cider and wine. Part of the Harvest Host program is that you are encouraged to make a small purchase of about $20 with your host to keep them in the program. We had a great time at the tasting then went back to relax for a few hours before the movie and dinner. They were very dog friendly and Nell went with us for the tasting.
Later we went for the movie and setup our chairs to watch it before getting dinner at the food truck and drinks from the winery. It was Nell’s first movie and she seemed to enjoy it or just the attention she was getting from everyone else.
After the movie we went back to our trailer and talked to our Realtor who told us we had a new contract on the house which we reviewed with him and accepted from the road. We went to bed so that we could get up and head to our next spot on Sunday.
Cheers,
Dave, The Bald Traveler
