Clarksville RV Park and Campground

The Clarksville RV Park and Campground is located in Clarksville TN, off Exit 1 near the Kentucky border. It offers convenient access to Clarksville, south western Kentucky and Fort Campbell Army post.

We stopped here to visit my brother and his family that lives in Clarksville for a few days on our trip east. It was a convenient campground to stop at during our stay.

All short term guests get full hookups and pull through sites which are nice. We stayed is site 44 which was located closest to the interstate at the back of the park. The noise from the interstate was noticeable at all times, so if that will bother you I recommend requesting a site close to the office and not use sites 42-54 up front. The sites are gravel and wide which are nice, but the grass area is cramped which is normal for a small private park. This would be a good stopover park if you are passing through and just need a spot for a day or two. There are seasonal spots located around the edge of the property and are all back in sites. The campground offers Wi-Fi for free and also premium for pay. The rate for premium was $2.99 a day with weekly and monthly specials so it wasn’t bad. There is also cable hookups available. The free Wi-Fi is good enough for email and not much else.

When we were there in mid October of 2021 they were full up each night.

They do have shower rooms and public bathroom’s, a small camp store which was well stocked, and a laundry room.

Review

We used this campground as a base to visit my brother on our trip east. We stayed for 4 nights arriving on a Sunday and leaving on a Thursday for Virginia.

We arrived around 3PM on Sunday and checked in with the office. We were assigned our site given the Wi-Fi password and code for the showers/pool. We had the pet rules explained to us which was basically pick up after your pet, keep the leashed, and don’t setup any outside fencing.. Setup was easy although we have a tree right next to our rig that meant we couldn’t put out our awning.

You can hear road noise from the Interstate I’m the park which is to be expected as close as it is to the Interstate. Inside our trailer we could hear the interstate clearly. The sites are tight for the pull through sites but this is normal for a private campground in the city. This is a very transient park and people are arriving and leaving each day. If road noise bothers you do not get a site in the back row closest to the interstate (sites 43-54).

The Interstate is right through these trees, which was in front of our site.

Each site has a sewer hookup which is very nice.

The showers were clean and the pool was closed for the season. There are limited fire rings and our site did not have one.

If you are passing through Kentucky and Tennessee on I-24 this campground would be a good choice for a short layover. Or if you need to visit Fort Campbell and don’t want to stay on base or at the AmFam campground this would be a good choice.
