Hiroshima

Hiroshima is located on the southern end of the Honshu island in Japan. It is about 4 hours from Tokyo by Shinkansen, or about 90 minutes from Osaka or Kyoto.

It is best known to foreigners as the location where the first atomic bomb was dropped in war. The Atomic bomb dome and Peace memorial park are located here and act as reminders of that event.

Hiroshima also has other cultural activities including Hiroshima Castla and Itsukishima Shrine with it’s floating Torii gate on nearby Miyajina island.
